OK place for a quick lunch. Good for vegetarians but food is nothing special. Location is quirky
I've been a customer for over 8 years now I think. It was one of the very first places I visited on my very first trip to Liverpool. Since then I must have visit this place a hundred times if not more. When I was a student this was one of the very few places I could afford and even if that's not the case anymore I still keep coming back for the amazing atmosphere and the delicious food. When people come to visit me I keep bringing them here and not once I've heard a word of disapproval. This is a great laid back place to spent an evening with your friends or grab a quick lunch. It's one of very few places left in Liverpool from the brilliant bohemian times that once were the norm of this city, I hope it last forever. I also hope that one day they will allow dogs, so I can come even more often. Keep up the great job Egg Cafe!
Absolutely love this place! A unique veggie cafe in the heart of Liverpool. Still going strong after many years due to the cosy, relaxing atmosphere, great food & music & the friendly, helpful staff. Spent many eves here during my uni days.. the homemade soup with cheesy garlic bread was a real favourite along with the cheese & broccoli quiche. You can also take your own wine! The walls are always filled with interesting art works & the rustic, loft style space feels like a relaxing retreat from the busy shops just around the corner. Enjoyed a wonderful eve here again this Christmas - it continues to go from strength to strength!
Very stylish inside, but has a really dodgy looking entrance. You could have a welcome sign on the door saying you're open. The mixed berry smoothie had a strong woody taste, I suspect the fruits weren't ripe. Love the purple theme though, and a nice cosy attic area
We had soup + bread for lunch after being told about this quirky cafe. Its at the top of 3 flights of stairs if you struggle with stairs...The atmosphere was fun but mot loud or invasive. Plenty of mixed seating for groups or singles.Food was home cooked + yummy, staff great. Bathroom clean + well stocked! Recommend.
