All agents should avoid. I have been referring work to this company for the last three years. They didn't receive a payment from a disgruntled landlord and now have a default CCJ against us management agent. What a way to thank you for providing work.
Called to fix a toilet repair, Karen at the office was extremely helpful and polite and the plumber, Tim, was with me within 15 minutes. Very quick efficient and provided good advice on best options for repair at a great price. I could not fault the service and would definitely recommend.
I am still waiting nearly 4 weeks later for Andy to come and fix a leak we had on a new radiator he had just fitted. After telling us initially that it wasn't their problem, they then told us to put a bucket under the radiator and Andy would come when he was free which would be in about 2 weeks time. We called another plumbing company who sent a plumber within hours. By contrast he was polite ( no swearing like Andy) and professional. He fixed the leak quickly and saved our brand new carpet which was very wet by this time. Will never use First Plumb again.
I contacted First Plumbing for a boiler service and to check a radiator which had never worked. The engineer came on the day I contacted first plumbing and the job turned out to be a larger job due to the pump being initially installed upside down and a broken valve for the radiator which had never worked. Additionally a wire had burned through meaning that also needed to be replaced and a new pump installed. This turned into a 3 hour job and the engineer was very thorough and did not leave until the job was finished. Considering he arrived at 5pm I was very grateful for staying so late to get my heating working. Additionally a week later another radiator was not working and I emailed and got a response 10 minutes later at 7pm and the engineer arrived 5 minutes later to fix the problem which luckily this time was a 5 minute job. I would recommend First plumbing every time as 3 other engineers had looked at my heating and could not solve why the radiator was not working. They are also very highly recommended price wise and I have forwarded their number onto my neighbours.All the staff are also very friendly and I was very grateful for their hard work.
