Well worth a visit. The interior is stunning and so much history within the place! Calming and peaceful atmosphere and always something going on. Have to pay to go into the crypt but not expensive and worth it.
Very different from the original cathedral. Felt like I was in a spaceship with all the pretty lights inside. Deep worth a visit. Cannot compare with original cathedral as both very very different
Fascinating building which has many chapels with themes. Major feature is the stained glass windows. Helpful staff providing information.
Great place to visit. Th cathedral is very beautiful, modern but still keeping tradition of having several chapels. The sculptures are very beautiful.
I'm not a Catholic but decided to visit the Metropolitan Cathedral after going to Liverpool Cathedral where I was very disappointed. This place however, was fantastic with modern architecture and modern depictions of Christ and religion but so well done. The natural lighting from the central rooftop windows are also very clever and dominate the place from entry to departure. Circular in design, there are several areas on the perimeter with different meanings and areas of worship. Thoroughly recommend that you drop by if in Liverpool- which is a wonderful city by the way.
