A well connected station with just the right level of facilities. Accessible for all with staff available to help if needed.

Staff left me standing waiting for a bus, knowing it wasn't coming, for about 40 minutes. It was only because I went to ask about it they told me there was no bus. Even though they gave the information in the first place. And all this only because there were no trains after 7pm on a Saturday.

Impressive modern architecture and imposing facade with integrated bus and rail links, though the "park and ride" car park is not really large enough. However, the most pressing problem for some passengers will be the fact that the architect thought it necessary to provide only one toilet (a toilet for one person, that is) on the main concourse. Furthermore, it's self-cleaning, so after one person comes out it can seem like an eternity before the next person is permitted to enter and don't be surprised if you see a queue of people trying to keep a stiff upper lip and refrain from crossing their legs!! After all this, you might be expecting something impressive inside, but it appears this wonder of modern technology is a bit too eager when carrying out it's ablutions and you should be prepared find the floor swimming in water and sodden loo role dotted around the place (not only on the floor). You can bet it cost a small fortune, but it would have been money wasted even if they spent a single penny.

Despite the station being very busy, due to diverted passengers, Merseyrail have managed the mass of extra passengers very well. There's lots of extra, friendly staff checking that you're okay and not lost and there's extra toilet facilities too.Lovely clean, modern station.

A medium sized station with good links to Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester Picadilly and Liverpool John Lennon Airport.Trains are regular and the station is very clean. A reasonable amount of seating on the platforms.
