I agree to the opinion below 100% my kids get points for a very little things.the teachers abuse SIMS system (i think they have satisfaction from it) because of this situation they feel bad,they loose willingness to learn,kids dont have chance to explain of what happend because the teachers dont let the kids speak.total lack of support for children with SEN.The teachers are unfair and ineguality in this school.this school needs some changes.
The Head teacher is weak and incapable of addressing complaints.Governors unwilling to challenge the management.SIMs System is open to abuse. Teachers able record as many points on the system as they like for any minor incident eg: Forgetting PE Kit anything between 1- 25 point depending on pupil / teacher. No questions asked.Total lack of support for children with SEN. School using New Protocol to distort STATS on Excluded children and to get rid of children with SEN.Total disregard for the DPA. My Child's data (as confirmed by School) was destroyed by a Governor. This school needs a change in management because it is letting down individual teachers trying to make the best of a bad situation.
My experience there was okay. I was there from 2010 - 2017 completing school & 6th form. The staff are really friendly and you create relationships with fellow friends and teachers that will last for the entirety of your life at school. I eventually got the grades I wanted in the end and I've had some of the best laughs of my life here. Not perfect, but hey nothing is perfection these days haha.
Its a okay school, great for starting in September for all the year 6's going into year 7
Overall, there was a good atmosphere but teachers were treating students more like friends than pupils which has impacted negatively our grades. There was no discipline at the school.
