I absolutely this library and I genuinely don't know how I'll manage if the council succeeds in closing it i order a LOT of books online and arrange to pick them up here. The staff are wonderful - friendly and helpful. This is a great part of the community and it hosts several different groups (unless things have changed since i last checked) such as reading groups for kids, the Green Party surgery etc. If you get the chance, please sign the petition to help keep this library open (i believe this is possible if you visit on any given Saturday)
Great staff and good kids section. Often have activities for children.
Essentially everything you could want from a library, peaceful atmosphere, helpful staff, well stocked shelves and a good few computers.The building itself dates from mid 1911, according to the historical information board. There are a handful of old photographs too, showing the development of the space.
